High School Program
The high school program includes parent/teacher mentoring so that students
have an opportunity to be well-prepared for life after graduation. This
program provides accountability and oversight while anticipating future
vocational or college goals. Parents set their own college preparatory
requirement standards in correlation with the ESA
High School Graduation requirements.
ESA will provide:
- A high school diploma upon completion of all the
graduation requirements. Graduation requirements are set by ESA and
are in compliance with the California Education Code graduation requirements.
- Official school transcripts issued to another high school, colleges
and scholarship programs of student's choice.
- Student photo ID cards.
- School ID code for proficiency tests and college exams.
- A High School Handbook
- A private meeting with a mentor prior to the first day of school
to review and discuss subjects, course descriptions, course standards,
and the full high school plan.
- Four Progress Report meetings with the mentor.
- Assistance in obtaining work permits when offered a job.
Parent/Teacher Agrees:
- To submit subject details with Course Descriptions and Standards
on-line prior to meeting with the mentor. If the parent/teacher needs
help, then he/she should indicate that in the comment box on-line.
- To ensure that the student completes 25% of the blue ribbons each
quarter on www.studyisland.com . This will require approximately 10
minutes a day. Study Island will be available starting August 1 through
July 31st.
- To fulfill ESA on-line record keeping requirements. See calendar for quarterly and semester recording deadlines.
- To attend four MANDATORY pre-arranged Progress Report meetings during
the school year.
- To provide a quarterly sample of each subject at the four MANDATORY
pre-arranged Progress Report meetings.

Transfer Students
We welcome transfer students from public or private high schools, and
we will accept the credits on their transcript. We will accept the parent's
transcripts from students that have been home schooled, if the parent
can fully document courses, grades, course descriptions, and course standards.
Students must be in good standing with their previous school. We will not accept
students that have been expelled from their previous school for
legal, disciplinary, or truancy problems.
